RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Town of-Hotchkiss retained an Engineer to furnish a Water Supply
Master Plan Report for the Town of Hotchkiss; and

WHEREAS.. the Water Supply Master Plan Report. f;(:lr, the Town of Hotchkiss was
completed, submitted, and accepted by the Tow~C-o'f 'Hotchkiss; and

WHEREAS, five years after the completion, submittal and acceptance of said
Water Supply Master Plan Report portions of the Town's water system have
deteriorated to the point where they must be replaced and where changing
times and changing electrical costs have caused the Town of Hotchkiss to think
of their own electrical power generation; and

WHEREAS, a supplement to the Water Supply Master Plan Report for the Town of
Hotchkiss has been completed and recommendations made that portions of the
treated water flow line be replaced and a turbine generator be installed in the
raw water line to supplement electrical energy needs at the Hotchkiss Water
treatment facility,

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Hotchkiss.
Colorado that the mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to make
application to the State of Colorado ,through the Colorado Water Conservation
Board for a loan of'$55.500.00 to be repaid over a 30 year periOd with a
rate of four percent interest to replace segment one of the treated water
transmission line from the water treatment plant to the 0.4 MG clear water
storage; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Hotchkiss.
Colorado that the mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to make
application to the State 'of Colorado through the ,Colorado Water Conservation
'Board for a lOan and grant totaling $35.750..00 for the installation of,a '
hydroelectric generator as described in the supplement to the 1976 Water
Supply ~ster Plan Report. the loan portion to be repaid over a 30 year
period at the rate of four percent interest; and

'BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Hotchkiss.
Colorado that the mayor be and is nereby authorized and directed to perform
any other actions necessary ,in 'connection to obtaining of the above mentio~ed
loans and grant 8S maybe required. ' ,

Colorado at a regular meeting of said Board held on February 16. 1981 by the
