The Tribe is presently negoti,~ting an agreement with the City <br />of Cortez for the treatment of the water to be conveyed in the Towaoc <br />pipeline. One of the provisions now included in the draft agreement allows <br />either party to terminate the agreement upon proper notification, with a set <br />time allowed before water treatment is discontinued. Should this prQvision be <br />exercised by either party, the Tribe would need to provide their own treatment <br />facil ity or make arrangements for another entity to treat the water. The <br />design considerations required for the pipeline to convey either treated water <br />from below the Cortez water treatment p1 ant or raw water di rect1y from the <br />Cortez pipeline will be addressed in this report. <br /> <br />1.6 Feasibility Report Content <br /> <br />The subsequent secti ons of thi s report document the techni ca1 analyses and <br />evaluations made relating to the design discharge, pipe size, pipe type, <br />pipeline alignment, and estimated costs of the pipeline. In addition, the <br />results of evaluations of the Towaoc municipal water distribution system are <br />presented, accompanied by cost estimates for various improvements, and <br />recommendati ons for pri oriti es for impl ementi ng the improvements.
