<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />which is allocable to the inspection and approval of work performed hereunder <br /> <br />by the Contractor or the inspection and auditing of the accounts and records <br /> <br />of the Contractor relating to such work, shall be reimbursable to the United <br /> <br />States by the Contractor: Provided, however, That all such costs incurred by <br /> <br />the United States shall be held to the minimum amount deemed necessary by <br /> <br />the Contracting Officer for protection of the interest of the United <br /> <br />States. After execution of this contract and until completion of the work <br /> <br />hereunder, the United States shall furnish to the Contractor quarterly <br /> <br />reports of all such costs incurred. <br /> <br />COSTS OF INVESTIGATION ANP PREPARATION OF THE REa~BILITATION <br />AND BETTERMtNT APPLICATION REPORT <br /> <br />7. Costs incurred by the United States or the Contractor for investi- <br /> <br /> <br />gations and prepar~tion of a rehabilitation and betterment application report <br /> <br /> <br />including the required' environmental evaluation, may be considered by the <br /> <br />Contracting Officer as nonreimbursable pursuant to the Act of October 29, 1971 <br /> <br />(85 Stat. 416). Such costs considered by the Contracting Officer to be, non- <br /> <br />reimbursable shall be excluded from the Contractor's obligation under this <br /> <br />contract. Such expenditures by the Contractor, incurred on or after January 29, <br /> <br />1979, shall be reimbursed to the Contractor: Provided, That the following condi- <br /> <br />tions are satisfied: (1) The investigation work is conducted in accordance <br /> <br />with guidelines furnished by the contracting Officer and is determined accept- <br /> <br />able by the' Contracting Officer; (2) This contract is confirmed in accordance <br /> <br />with Article 30; and (3) The Contractor presents a voucher to the United States <br /> <br />setting forth: (i) the costs including but not limited to labor, materials, <br /> <br />supplies, and equipment use which are directly chargeable thereto, plus not <br /> <br />to exceed 15 percent thereof for supervision and administration; (ii) payments <br /> <br />to a subcontractor who performed the work for which the'Contractor is claiming <br /> <br />reimbursement; or '(iii) a combination of (i) and (ii) if the reimbursable work <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />Art ic 1es 6 and 7 <br />
