<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />operational aspects of a variety of relatively complex water supply opportunities, and (3) <br />conducting technical investigations as needed specific to at least three suggested water supply <br />ideas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the selection of the Contractor by the State was conducted in compliance <br />with Sections 24-30-1401 through 1408 of C.R.S" 1988 & 1991 Supp. ("Part 14"), for negotiation <br />of consultation contracts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor was selected as the most highly qualified among no less than <br />three persons or firms ranked in order and deemed to be the most highly qualified to perform <br />the required professional services based on factors listed in Section 24-30-1403, C.R.S.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor shall perform services involving the practice of engineering <br />as defined in Section 12-25-102 (10), c.R.S.; <br /> <br />NOW TIfEREFORE, it is agreed by the parties hereto as follows: <br /> <br />A. The Scope of Services, Project Schedule, and Work Products are defined in Exhibit I and <br />Attachments A, 8, C, and D attached thereto, which Exhibit is attached and incorporated <br />herein. <br /> <br />8. The Contractor agrees that it shall: <br /> <br />1. Conduct investigations of and prepare a final report on several water supply <br />alternatives that may enhance Front Range water supplies in efficient, practical and <br />environmentally sound ways in accordance with the Scope of Services, Exhibit I. <br /> <br />2. Assemble a Technical Advisory Committee (Task 1) and conduct a series of scoping <br />meetings (Task 2) to refine the study goals, As a result of these meetings the contractor shall <br />provide a report and refined work plan for review and approval by the State. The refined work <br />plan may require that the Scope of Services under this Contract be amended. Any such <br />amendments to this contract shall be made in writing as required by paragraph 1 herein. <br /> <br />3. Cause this project to be fully completed by October 6, 1995. Work will progress <br />pursuant to the Project Schedule, Attachment C of Exhibit I. The final study report will be due <br />to the State on October 6, 1995. All delivery dates specified herein are contingent on the State <br />issuing a Notice to Proceed with the study on or about January 1, 1994 and will be adjusted <br />day for day if this contract has not been executed by the State on or about that date. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />4. Provide the State with all deliverables as stipulated in the Scope of Services, Exhibit <br /> <br />C. The State agrees that it shall: <br /> <br />1.
