<br />Aristocrat Ranchette Water project. Inc. <br />Feasibility Study <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Need for the Project <br /> <br />ARWP is undertaking this project to allow the residents of <br />Aristocrat Ranchette Subdivision, over one half of which have <br />refillable cisterns as their only source of water, to have a <br />stable, potable source of drinking water. <br /> <br />ARWP is requesting a loan from COlorado Water Conservation Board <br />only for the purchase of raw water shares from the Colorado-Big <br />Thompson Project and the Windy Gap Project necessary to purchase <br />treated water from Central Weld County Water District. The <br />actual construction project will be funded, by the u.s. Rural <br />Economic Community Development ("RECD") ,formerly Farmer's Horne <br />Administration. Application has been made for funding of the <br />construction project through RECD, and initial approval of that <br />funding has been received. <br /> <br />This project is needed because the only source of water for <br />Aristocrat Ranchette Subdivision is three wells drilled into the <br />Laramie/Fox Hills Aquifer, which Aquifer is depleting rapidly. <br />It is anticipated that the water in the Aquifer will decrease its <br />flow to the point that pumping will be impossible within the next <br />25 years. <br /> <br />Due to the increased growth of residents in Colorado, available <br />sources of water will not exist when the Aquifer depletes. A <br />project completed today is the only hope of providing a sustained <br />source of water for the subdivision. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />... <br />
