Conversion of farm land to urban use has been relatively slow in
the district. Due to the nature of the 10cal economy and the lack of a /
close metropolitan area, we would not expect any iarge trend toward
urbanization and thus no iarge loss in irrigated land is expected.

D.

Land Ownership. The ownership of land in the area served by The
Trinchera Irrigation Company is primarily private farms, ranch land, and
individual home sites, An exact break down of land ownership Is not
known, but is expected to consist of less than one percent (l %) public
iand owned by municipalities, the State, or Federal Government.

PAGE llr-3
Olapter m - Ibmtain IkJDe Resernri.r
