Of particular concern, is a point source of concentrated seepage at <br />the toe of the downstream slope where considerable sliding and <br />sloughing of the errtenkment has occurred. 'Ihis area is on the <br />southeast auxiliary dam where the county road joins the emt>anJorent. <br /> <br />2. 'Ihe main errbankment to the north is also experiencing conSiderable <br />seepage at the downstream toe of the dam. 'ltle seepage is occurring <br />throughout rrost of the length of the dam. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />We are requesting that you hire a registered professional engi~er to <br />investigate these seepage areas and come up with a suitable design to handle <br />the seepage so that the safety of the dam is assured. <br /> <br />If a resolution cannot be reached to flatten the slope where the irriga- <br />tion ditch is encroaching on the dam, your engineer should make a <br /> <br />A-24 <br /> <br />.....- ---.--~.. <br /> <br />--...--..- <br />
