Local NRCS office requests grant 9/4/97 <br />2, Complete Final Design 1/7/98 <br />3, Advertisement for Bids 2/13/98 <br />4, Bid Award 2/27/98 <br />5, CWCB approves loan 3/10/98 <br />6. Construction started 3/18/98 <br />7, Construction completed 4/14/98 <br />8, Project placed on-line 4/16/98 <br />Social, Economic and Physical Impacts <br /> <br />The project will assist users in maintaining current lifestyles and occupations. No adverse social <br />impacts are expected, <br /> <br />The project will provide a positive econOJUlC impact by continuing the productivity of <br />approximately 10,000 acres of shareholders' crops. <br /> <br />The project will have no siguificant physical impacts once construction is complete. The <br />improvements will be primarily located below the ground surface and in a configuration similar <br />to existing structures. <br /> <br />Permitting <br /> <br />All easements and rights-of-way are now held by the Company, No permits will be required for <br />this repair project. <br /> <br />Per discussions between the NRCS and the U ,S, Army Corps of Engineers, the project is exempt <br /> <br /> <br />from Section 404 permitting requirements (see Appendix C), The Company believes no <br /> <br /> <br />Environment Assessment or Environmental Impact Statement is required, <br /> <br />6 <br />
