WATER <br />OOI\~u,. ~ nllN 80ARD <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board Bund-.1lT<:l. 1001-1890 - $4,230 <br />(Water Projects Construction Fund) <br /> <br />THIS CONTRACT made this 4th day of June, 1973, by and between the <br />State of Colorado through the Colorado Water Conservation Board of the <br />Department of Natural Resources, hereinafter referred to as the Board, <br />and Rocky Mountain Consultants, Inc., of Longmont, Colorado, hereinafter <br />referred to as the Consultant. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of S. B. 21, 1971 session, <br />Colorado General Assembly, the Colorado Water Conservation Board was <br />authorized to construct certain water projects for the benefit of the <br />people of the State of Colorado: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the towns of Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, and Superior <br />have made application to the Board for the construction of a project <br />known as the Coal Creru~ Project for the purpose of supplying municipal <br />water to said towns; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board relayed this request to the appropriate standing <br />committees of the Colorado General Assembly during the 1972 session and <br />there was appropriated to the Board the sum of Two Hundred Thousand <br />Dollars ($200,000), part of which was to be used for a feasibility study <br />on the proposed Coal Creek project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consultant is a qualified engineering firm incorporated <br />within the State of Colorado and has previously prepared a reconnaissance <br />report on such project for the towns of Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, and <br />Superior; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed.as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Consultant agrees to prepare a phase I feasibility study <br />and preliminary design for the Coal Creek Dam and Reservoir <br />to consist of the following: <br /> <br />a.
