Costs..of Construction. A cost analysis was conducted for
three dam alternatives and two spillway location alternatives.
The quantities determined are in general based on surveyed site
cross sections taken at 100 foot intervals along the dam and
spillway. The unit costs applied to each item are based on a
weighted average of the costs bid on Clark Lake in July of 1988
and based on costs being currently bid on similar type construc-
tion in Northern Colorado.

The following summaries show the overall costs for the
alternatives being considered and Tables VI-l through VI-3 shows a
complete breakdown of estimated quantities and costs.

Alternative No.1 - Repair existing dam to Crest Elevation G.H.
29.0' at 3:1 side slopes.

Table Reference

Base Cost
wlo
Spillway

Total Cost
wi West
Spillway

Total Cost
wi East
Spillway

VI - 1

$375,548

$546,998

$460,223

Alternative No.2 Repair existing dam to Crest Elevation G.H.
29.0' with 4:1 upstream slope and 3:1 downstream slope.

Table Reference

Base Cost
wlo Spillway

Total Cost
wi West
Spillway

Total Cost
wi East
Spillway

VI - 2

$428,023

$599,473

Alternative
maximum pool
eam slopes.

$512,698

No.3 Raise dan Crest Elevation to G.H 34.0',
at G.H. 29.0', 4:1 upstream slopes, and 3:1 downstr-

Table Reference

Base Cost
wlo Spillway

Total Cost
wi West
Spillway

Total Cost
wi East
Spillway

VI - 3

$598,444

VI-l

$742,019

$777,894
