The table below shows the aver-
age annual amounts of the suppJ.s' from each source for each project pur-
pose for the first 50 years and 100 years of project operation. The
amounts were estimated considering both the pattern of availability of
water from each source and the pattern of diversion requirements for each
purpose.

Sources of average annual water supply
Municipal
and
domestic
use Irrigation

4,700
1,030

Outdoor
residen-
tial use Total
6,600 20,700
1,470 3,900
;0 1,700
9, 0 26,300
7,200 20,700
1,600 3,900
1,080 1 ,.700
9,880 26,300

.

50-year period
Ruedi Reservoir storage water 9,400
Direct flows of Fryingpan River 1,400
Direct flows of Cattle, West
Coulter, and Mesa Creeks
Total 10,eOO

100-year period
Ruedi Reservoir storage water 9,400
Direct flows of Fryingpan River 1,400
Direct flows of Cattle, West
Coulter, and Mesa Creeks
Total 10,800

Water requirements

710
6,440

4,100
900

620
5,620

The total diversion requirement for lands to be provided with water
for irrigation and outdoor residential uses is estimated at an average
of 25,150 acre-feet annually. This includes about 24,450 acre-feet for
the irrigable area of 7,520 acres, based on a requirement of 3.26 acre-
feet an acre, and an additional 700 acre-feet estimated to be required
for the Colorado Mountain College area,. Approxima.teJ.s' 9,600 acre-feet
of the required supply is presentJ.s' available. With the additional
15,500 acre-feet provided by the project, essentially the full require-
ments of the lands would be met. The only shortages would be in areas
above the Landis Canal that would be served by exchange. The shortage
to these areas would average less than 3 percent annually and the short-
age to the total project area would average less than 1 percent. The
municipal and domestic supplies would be provided each year without
shortage.

.

33
