<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />:1 <br />I <br />II <br />:. <br />I <br />. <br /> <br />TASK NO. 6 - PROJECT ELEMENTS <br /> <br />RATIONALE: <br /> <br />The purpose of this task is to identify potential elements <br /> <br /> <br />for the alternative project configurations by means of a <br /> <br /> <br />preliminary evaluation to screen out those elements not <br /> <br /> <br />suitable for further analysis. The project elements <br /> <br /> <br />included in the recommended High Elevation Collection, <br /> <br /> <br />Storage and Distribution system described in the <br /> <br /> <br />Reconnaissance Report for the San Miquel proiect Rescopinq <br /> <br /> <br />Study will be utilized. Other possible elements will be <br /> <br /> <br />identified. <br /> <br />The Radium Reservoir site will also be considered for <br />development as a wildlife habitat in one of the alternative <br />project configurations. This project feature will not be an <br />element of any of the project operating systems and will not <br />aevelop any portion of the project water supplies for <br />irrigation and M & I uses. <br /> <br />Other potential project elements, such as reservoir sites, <br />conveyance systems, ground water, glacial aquifers, <br /> <br /> <br />hydropower generation, and diversions from Turner Creek, <br /> <br /> <br />will also be considered. The other project elements to be <br /> <br /> <br />considered will be selected by review of previous USER <br /> <br />A-38 <br />
