The potential

water demands will be estimated for the present and one or

two future levels of development in the study area. The

estimated irrigation demands will be estimated both for the'

existing cropping patterns and for possible alternative

cropping patterns and/or live stock production. The

Contractor will discuss with the ditch companies and the

SMWCD the possibilities of more efficient use of water by

modification of rates and scheduling of water deliveries.

Soil evaluations for irrigation planning will be based on

feview of available data from previous surveys and studies.

The field investigation will not include soils sampling and

laboratory analysis for irrigation classification. If it is

found that additional soil sampling and laboratory analyses

are needed through review of available data or discussions

with the USER or SCS, the Contractor will identify the scope

of work needed and the additional costs required to perform

the work.

A-32
