<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />1 <br />I <br />1 <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TASK NO.3 - WATER RIGHTS <br /> <br />RA TrON ALE: <br /> <br />A comprehensive water rights investigation of the study area <br /> <br /> <br />and a limited investigation of major water rights on the <br /> <br /> <br />Dolores River downstream of the confluence of the San Miguel <br /> <br /> <br />River will be made utilizing existing information from <br />previous studies. These data will be evaluated by <br />comparison with other current sources of water rights <br /> <br />information. Recent water right changes, new decrees and <br /> <br />pending applications in the study area, which are not <br />contained in the official tabulations and listings available <br />from the State Engineer's office, will be requested from the <br /> <br /> <br />District 60 Water Commissioner, the Division Engineer for <br /> <br /> <br />Water Division 4, and/or the SMCWD's legal counsel. <br /> <br />Portions of the San Miguel Project conditional rights to be <br />utilized for Phase 1 of the project will be identified from <br />the report on the Lone Cone Reservoir Enlargement Project <br />Feasibility Study and confirmed by consultation with the <br />SMCWD's legal counsel. The San Miguel Project conditional <br />water rights will be reduced by the amounts to be used for <br /> <br />A-20 <br /> <br />
