Some of the Contestors (and perhaps many other electors) wished to vote against any increase which means, according to the ballot instructions, they would have to vote no on only one of the three questions, It is believed that many persons voted no on all three questions and their votes for that reason were not counted, Others may have voted no on only one of the three questions when, in fact, they desired to vote no on all three, being opposed to any debt increase, (b) The debt question which ultimately passed was No, 2 on the ballot, The Contestors state that there is a good possibility the debt question would not have passed had the ballot question had specific instructions contained therein informing the electors that they could vote no on all three issues, 7. Remedy requested, The Contestors request that the District Court find the wording and instructions on the ballot to be misleading and improper and that the official results of the election be canceled thereby requiring the Julesburg Irrigation District to cancel the issue entirely or, in the alternative, hold another election with a properly worded ballot.
