<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Feasibility of the Rehabilitation <br />of the <br />Harmony Ditch No.1 Diversion Structure <br /> <br />Project Sponsor <br /> <br /> <br />The Julesburg Irrigation District is a Colorado Ditch Company and a non-profit corporation, <br /> <br /> <br />Their office is located in the Sedgwick County Courthouse at 315 Cedar, Julesburg, <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado, The Julesburg Irrigation District is a quasi-governmental body formed on July <br /> <br /> <br />16, 1904, for the purpose of issuing bonds for the purchase of Julesburg Reservoir and <br /> <br /> <br />related irrigation facilities and water rights, The District was originally formed under the <br /> <br /> <br />Irrigation District Law of 1901. There are about 200 shareholders of which 155 are eligible <br /> <br /> <br />to vote. <br /> <br />Project Service Area <br />The service area is located in northeastern Logan County, northern Sedgwick County, <br />Colorado, and southern Deuel County, Nebraska, It begins at a point four miles west of <br />Crook, encompassing an area two to three miles wide paralleling Colorado State Highway <br />138 on the north side to Julesburg, The area is served by the Harmony Ditch No, 1, <br />Highline Canal, Settlers Ditch, and the Peterson Ditch. The service area under irrigation <br />is 19,139,23 acres, Irrigated crops consist of corn, alfalfa, sugar beets, pinto beans, and <br />wheat. <br /> <br />1 <br />
