This would <br />mean that the entire system (about 3.5 miles in total length) would be in pipe. They have <br />requested $50,000 (4% for 30 years) which represents the estimated cost of materials only. <br />(Total project cost is approximately $65,000). <br />This project will solve an existing problem where a section of the ditch is around a <br />steep hillside which is prone to slides. The project will also reduce ditch losses and promote <br />conservation. <br />Feasibility work is underway by the SCS, and the project will be completed m <br />accordance with SCS plans and specifications. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The project will help conserve existing water rights, and place these rights to <br />beneficial use. <br /> <br />The company has an eXistmg loan with the CWCB in original amount of <br />approximately $64,000 (5% for 25 years), and would like the option of combining this loan <br />with the requested loan at the standard terms of 4% for 30 years. By consolidating loans the <br />company's annual payment for these two projects will be about $1000 less than with separate <br />loans. <br />
