II
II
II
II
II

Stage III. The third stage of construction would consist of the installation of

an 8 mg storage tank in the vicinity of the 1.5 mg in the northwest area of

the City. An 18" line would tie this tank into the distribution system.

As will be discussed later it has been assumed that Canon Chemical will

have 3 mg of storage to serve its area and Skyline Village will have 1.5 mg

of storage to serve its area and part of the Morningside Subdivision. This

would give a total storage of 21.5 mg available for the system which was the

amount recommended under Section 2, Design Criteria.

II

A major line would be installed east along Park Avenue, south along the eastern
edge of Lincoln Park, and back west along the southern edge of Lincoln Park
completing a major loop. This line will complete the major lines required
in the area south of the river to h~ndle 1993 demands.

l'
/1
II
II
I

Finally a major line would encompas~ the Four Mile area completing a major

loop to serve this area of future development.

It is recommended that this stage be accomplished in 1980; the estimated
cost as shown in Section 6 is $1,031,500 for facilities inside the City and
$706,900 for areas outside the City.

Facilities to be Installed when Required by Development.

I
,

As shown on Exhibit No.9 there. are a number of lines and facilities that

are designated to be installed as required by development.

I

As was discussed previously, portionS of the Morningside Development and

the Canon Chemical and Skyline Village Developments are at higher elevations

and must be served by pumping stationS and separate storage facilities.

Cost estimates for the facilities that will be ultimately required to serve

these areas in 1993 are shown in Section 6 and are shown schematically on

Exhibit No.9. No time frame has been assigned to the construction of these

facilities as it will depend entirely on how fast and to what extent these

areas develop.

I

.1

-,
.

11
.

The other facilities designated on E~hibit No~ 9 to be installed as required
by development are 8" lines within msjor loops completing the distribution

'I

5-4
