. Due to the availability of aerial photographs. no aerial photography from EI Paso
or Teller County will be incorporated into the analysis described in Part J I see
above.
2. Stream Segments within EI Paso, Teller and Pueblo Counties - Fountain Creek.
Monument Creek, Sand Creek, Cottonwood Creek. Williams Creek, Jimmy Camp
Creek _ where dala is available on sediment. water quality. USGS gauging stations,
stream flow data, floodplain boundaries. utility crossings, inigation facilities,
diversions, and wetlands will be identified as points in GIS maps and mapped as data
layers in Arc/Info and Arcview. Locations on the GIS maps will be coded to
correspond directly to information contained in the database. This information \,,'ill
provide the foundation for future uses, to identify possible data gaps and locations
where more infonnation needs to be collected.
3. An inventory of all available existing infonnation will be conducted (0 determine
what infonnation could be added in the development of the database. Information will
be identified from other sources and any problems associated with obtaining other
data sources.
4. Infonnation available on the hydrologic characteristics (peak flood discharges, daily
streamflows, low flows); physical characteristics (channel dimensions, improvements,
hydraulic capacities, stream classification); erosion/sedimentation characteristics
(channel and streambed material, areas of erosion and deposition, sediment tmnsport
data); waler quality characteristics (physical, chemical and biological datil; beneficial
uses; stream standards); and habitat characteristics (aquatic and terrestrial habitat;
species) of the previously identified locations will be entered into the GIS database.
The corresponding locations will be overlayed on the basemap and linked to the
database so when an individual point is clicked in Arcview or Arc/Info the
infonnation will appear.
5. If available, an individual photo for each of the previously identified locations will be
scanned in (if not already available in a digital fonnat) and linked to the individual
locations shown on the basemap.
