<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CHAPTER II <br /> <br />CO~WREHENSlVE PLAN <br /> <br />Juniper Reservoir would be the key feature for both irrigation and <br />power developments. The reservoir would be created by a dam on the Yampa <br />River near the head of Juniper Canyon approximately 7 miles southeast of <br />Maybell, Colo. Irrigation releases from the reservoir would be made to <br />the Deadman Bench Canal which 'would head at the dam about 160 feet above <br />streambed. Power water releases would pass through a powerplant at the <br />base of the dam to the Yampa River. <br /> <br />Irrigation <br /> <br />From Juniper Reservoir the Deadman Bench Canal would convey irriga- <br />tion water westward along the south side of the Yampa River to Cross Moun- <br />tain, thence south to the White River drainage, and west again to the <br />Deadman Bench area.
