<br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FOREWORD <br /> <br />This report summarizes results of reconnaissance studies made by <br />the Bureau of Reclamation of the Juniper project in Colorado and utah as <br />a potential participating project of the Colorado River Storage project. <br />The report presents results of engineering and economic appraisals of <br />several alternative sizes and plans for irrigation, hydroelectric power, <br />recreation, and fish and wildlife development. The appraisals have been <br />made for use as a guide in selecting the most desirable development plan, <br />in determini~g whether future feasibility investigations would be war- <br />ranted. and in providing guidance to future investigations when undertaken <br />The appraisals have been made in accordance with existing reclamation law <br />as proposed to be modified by the statement of "POliCies, Standards, and <br />Procedures in the Formulation, Evaluation, and Review of Plans for the <br />Use and Development of Water and Related Land Resources", approved by the <br />President May 15, 1962. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />~ ,~, ,~T'<_"""n "", <br />IV, "M'''''-" ~,'''''''''''' _ """'Y~~,;'~"':.\", <br /> <br /> <br />po'''' ~ <br />. This act directed the <br />Secretary of the Interior to investigate the potential Juniper project <br />concurrently with certain possible participating projects in the Upper <br />Colorado River Basin and to give priority to completion of a planning <br />report on the project. <br /> <br />. <br />
