Traffic Control <br />Plan. and Towaoc Municipal Project Drawings. The construction <br />contractor. Weeminuche Construction Authority, has proof of the <br />required insurance coverage on file at the Colorado Highway <br />District Office. <br /> <br />The portions of the project included in the CDOH permit <br />included the main pipeline along Highway 160 from station <br />700+00 to station 1041+75, and bored crossings at McElmo Wash, <br />Ismay Wash. and Towaoc Road. Bored crossing drawings and <br />details are shown on Sheet 31. The precise location of the <br />crossing at McElmo Wash will be determined upon acquisition of <br />right-of-way, and details will be forwarded. The two 4" PVC <br />lines which cross near Towaoc Road will be constructed using a <br />pneumatic piercing tool with no casing. <br /> <br />The Towaoc pipeline is being constructed by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe as a <br />part of the Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights Final Settlement <br />Agreement of December 10, 1986. The agreement between the <br />State of Colorado, the United States, and the Ute Mountain Ute <br />Indian Tribe requires the State to construct a pipeline for the <br />transportation of water from the Cortez water treatment plant <br />to the Town of Towaoc. as well as improve portions of the <br />Towaoc municipal distribution system.
