Huntley <br />Summit County Attorney <br /> <br />HE: <br /> <br />Contract with the State of Colorado <br />Studs of Water Resources <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />May 18, 1988 <br /> <br />You have asked for an opinion letter regarding the above-referenced agreement <br />which I have responded to below. <br /> <br />The signatory for Summit County is Rich Levengood, Chainnan of the Board of <br />County Commissioners (BOCC) , an elected official. He has the authority to <br />bind the County based on the BOCC's approval of the contract and minutes of <br />that meeting are attached. Furthermore, this contract may be entered in to <br />without a vote of the county residents. To the best of my knowledge, there <br />are no laHs Hhich prevent the contract from binding Summit County and as such <br />it will be a valid and binding contract. <br /> <br />I reviewed the subject contract prior to giving this opinion, <br /> <br /> <br />SUMMIT COUNTY GOVERNMENT' POST OFFICE BOX 68 .
