Discharge will be contained in an earthen pond (Note

Exhibit XIII f.). The water will then traverse through the

transmission and potential distribution line to the treated

water storage tank. An altitude sensing valve at the tank

will monitor supply with demand. Although the transmission

line is t24,400 linear feet in length, the operation and main-

tenance of it should be fairly easy. There is continual access

to it in all seasons as it lies along St~te and County Highways.

Construction:

Most easements are along State and County Highways.

In some instances the digging capacities are limited and "quarters

tight". However, the majority is open and little difficulty

should be incurred. Little rock is anticipated as most of the

ground is composed of shale. Water may be a problem and ground

water conditions may necessitate the use of gravel (approximately

50%) to secure a sound trench bottom. Drain lines may have to

be installed to divert the waste.

2. Alternate II:

Alternate II, as in Alternate I above, proposes an

alternate point of diversion with results as previously noted.

This Alternate will use subterranean flow via two 12" diameter

well casings of approximately 29 vertical feet of depth. A

sump pit of approximately 80 feet in diameter and 29 feet deep

will surround the casing. This will be filled with 1Y," diameter

18
