<br />I <br /> <br />I III <br /> <br />Dolores Water Conservancy District <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Dolores Water Conservancy District is the sponsor for this <br /> <br />water study which is being financed with a loan from the Colorado <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />The Dolores Water Conservancy District is lo~ated in the <br /> <br />southwest corner of Colorado and includes parts of Montezuma and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dolores Counties. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />The Dolores Water Conservancy District is the sponsoring <br /> <br />agency for the Dolores Project, which as currently planned is to <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />deliver 90,000 acre-feet of irrigation water and 8,700 acre-feet of <br /> <br />,I <br /> <br />municipal and industrial water to the Water District and Ute Mountain <br /> <br />Indian Reservation. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />The municipal and industrial water is allocated as follows: <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />Cortez <br /> <br />6,200 acre-feet <br /> <br />Do"Cre~ <br /> <br />600 acre-feet <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />Towaoc <br /> <br />1,000 acre-feet <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />Dolores Water <br />Conservancy District <br /> <br />900 acre-feet <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />The full allocated cost of the municipal and industrial <br /> <br />water has to be paid by the users. The construction of Monument <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Creek Dam and Reservoir near Dove Creek is scheduled for completion <br /> <br />in 1984, thereby making water available in 1985, <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />1-2 <br />
