However, <br /> <br />the 55 possible taps between Cahone and Dove Creek will receive <br /> <br />water service, thereby, providing water service to a larger area <br /> <br />and more income to repay the required loan. <br /> <br />It also appears that the initial operating costs for the <br /> <br />additional required water of Alternate Number Two would be approxi- <br /> <br />mately $1.87 per 1,000 gallons compared with $2.21 per 1,000 gallons <br />for Alternate Number One. <br /> <br />If sources of spring snow melt can be obtained from Dove Creek <br /> <br />and Monument Creek to fill the 100 acre-foot reservoir, then an <br /> <br />additional savings can be made in the pumping costs from the <br /> <br />Dolores River. <br /> <br />VI - 2 <br />
