This would supply portions of the

Montezuma Water Company system south of Cahone and Pleasant View.

Alternate Number Two

This plan would fit into the overall Dolores Project, in that

one of the features in this project is the storage of 600 acre-feet

of M & I water annually in the Monument Creek Reservoir for use in

the Dove Creek area.

By constructing the first phase of the treatment plant now,

this part of the project would be initiated.

When water is available from Monument Creek Reservoir, it will

be relatively an inexpensive project to pump the water from the

Monument Creek Reservoir to the raw water reservoir for the treatment

plant. Also, one of the interim potential water supplies is Monument

Creek and the future pump station and pipeline could be constructed

now and would be compatible with the future Monument Creek Reservoir

of the Dolores Project. Also, the first link in the interconnecting

line with the Montezuma Water Company will be completed.

VI - 1
