The Town has steel <br /> <br />storage reservoirs with a combined capacity of 330,000 gallons. <br /> <br />The Town of Dolores has approximately 340 taps on the system. <br /> <br />Water is delivered to the Montezuma Water Company through a master <br /> <br />meter near the south side of Town. <br /> <br />Montezuma Water Company <br /> <br />When the system was first started in 1968, it had 702 taps. <br /> <br />It has since grown to 1,270 taps. On the initial system the water <br /> <br />rates were $10.00 for 3,000 gallons minimum and reduced from $1.50 <br /> <br />per 1,000 gallons down to $0.50 per 1,000 gallons for all water over <br /> <br />30,000 gallons per month. The current rates are 3,000 gallons minimum <br /> <br />at $16.25 plus $1.60 per 1,000 gallons for all water used over <br /> <br />the 3,000 gallons per month. The current average annual usage is <br /> <br />5,000 gallons per month per tap or a system average of 6,350,000 <br /> <br />gallons per month. The maximum monthly use for the system in 1975 <br /> <br />was 7,528,000 gallons. <br /> <br />III - 1 <br />
