Water is also frequently
diverted through Fossil Creek Reservoir by the
water commissioner for use in efficiently managing
the river. In good
water years more storage would be available
because of the refill decree for Fossil Creek.

Surface water supply.

(1) This project is the proposed rehabilitation of the
existing Fossil Creek Reservoir. Present storage
capacity is approximately 11,S08 acre feet and it
is being operated with a hold order which limits
the storage to about 7,70S acre feet, although
larger amount have been held for a short time.
Rehabilitation might increase storage to as much
as 13,S97 acre feet.

See Appendix "A" for information furnished by the
Water Commissioner for the last ten years. The
records available do not always have complete
information on storage and releases. Information
readily available shows figures only at the end of
a month. It does not show interim changes. Water
Commissioner confirms that Fossil Creek regularly
fills under its decrees.
