<br />. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Project Summary <br />The proposed project is to provide the Town of Hayden with <br />water production facilities which will continually produce a <br />potable water consistant with both Federal and State Drinking <br />Water Standards, to serve the present population and to provide <br />those improvements wmich will enable the Town to satisfy future <br />growth due to the impact of energy and recreation developments <br />within the immediate area of the Town. <br /> <br />Portions of the existing water production facilities are <br />quite old, non-functioning, and/or are grossly inadequate. <br />Therefore, water produced through these facilities, although <br />generally safe for human consumption, does not generally <br />satisfy Federal and State Drinking Water Standards. <br /> <br />Therefore, these facilities must be either abandoned and/or <br />modified and new components added. <br /> <br />The hydraulic capacity-of the existing water facilities are <br />approximately rated at 440 GPM, which present normal usag~ <br />requirements amount to 352 GPM, with peak usages in excess of <br />600 GPM. Thus, water is taken from treated water storage to <br />satisfy peak usages and storage refilled during non-peak periods. <br />Present'facilities must, therefore, be operated continuously at <br />full capacity, 80 percent of the time, to satisfy present usage <br /> <br />T - 8 <br />
