I.
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

.

.

-11-

perty damage or risk of loss of life. However, it should be
understood that a spillway sized in this manner does not pro-
vide an absolute solution to the problem. Future actions by
the Forest Service, such as con5tructibn of major road impro-
vements, picnic or camp grounds could result in additional
spillway modification requireme~ts. We still believe that an
IDA is appropriate for Sheriff ~eservoir because the dif-
ference between spillway modification requirements for a full
PMF event or one sized based on the IDA may be large enough
that the Town of Oak Creek may ~ant to take the risk of
possible additional future modification requirements.

SCHEDULE

Our proposed schedule for completion of the work is shown
on Figure 2. We have prepared this schedule considering
several factors, including the time stipulations of the SEO
and weather constraints to complete the necessary field work.
Provided authorization to proceed is received by September 15,
1986, the phase I, Tasks 1, 2, j, and 4. and Phase II, Task 1
work will be completed by October 24, 1986. We will plan to
meet with the SEO and the CWCB 90metime during the week of
October 27 and will submit a draft feasibility report to the
CWCB for review by November 10, 1986. Provided the CWCB
report can be reviewed in appro~imately one week, we will
finalize and submit it to the CWCB by December 1, 1986.

We propose to undertake the Phase II, Task 1 work con-
current with Phase I in order to complete the work prior to
the site becoming inaccessible because of snow. The results
of the field work will then be available for subsequent final
design work in late fall and early winter. The formal submit-
tal of construction documents for SEO approval will be
completed by February 13, 1986.

ESTIMATED COSTS

The costs for completing the work scope as outlined above
will be as follows:

Phase I

Task 1. . $ 5,425
Task 2. . . . . . . 3,835
Task 3. . . . 10,620
Task 4. . 0
Task 5. . . 15,030
Total Phase I $34,910
