Chapter VI, Project Evaluation

10. Chapter VII, Financial Program

All of the above items, with the exception of Item 3 and
Chapters IV and V, will require significant interfacing and
input from the Town of Oak Creek. The detailed technical
information of Chapters IV and V will be contained in an
appendix to the feasibility report. In addition to the feasi-
bility report, we will prepare a technical submittal including
the information from Chapters IV and V and the appendix to the
State Engineer for approval prior to final design efforts.

Phase II

Task 1 - Field explorations to determine subsurface con-
ditions for foundation designs and to evaluate factors
affecting construction will be completed under this task.
believe that field explorations can be accomplished using
rubber-tired backhoe. We understand from our discussions
Mr. Wisecup that the Town of Oak Creek will provide the
backhoe for performing the field explorations. Also, our
review of information on file at the SEO indicates that base-
line topographic information should be available for design of
spillway modifications. We have therefore assumed that this
information will be provided by the Town of Oak Creek.

We
a
with

A limited use permit will be required from the Forest
Service and disturbed areas resulting from the field explora-
tions will require reclamation. These items have been con-
sidered in our estimated range of costs for this work task.
We will obtain a special-use permit from the Routt National
Forest prior to undertaking field explorations. Test pits
will be excavated under supervision of a qualified engineer.
We will backfill all test pits and cover the disturbed area
with the original topsoil. All replaced topsoil will then be
reseeded with an approved seed mix provided by the Forest
Service. Following completion of the initial reclamation of
the test pits during the site e~plorations, it shall be the
responsibility of the Town of Oak Creek to provide any main-
tenance or work to complete the overall reclamation effort as
required by the Forest Service.

Task 2 - The engineering analyses to be completed under
this work task should include all hydraulic, geologic/
geotechnical, and structural calculations required for final
designs.

Task 3 - Construction drawings should include a cover
sheet listing drawings and showing the project location and
several additional sheets containing plans, sections, and
details of the spillway modifications. The drawings should be
