RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION MAKING FOR}~ APPLICATION TO
COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD FOR LOAN
FUNDS FOR EXPANSION OF THE CITY WATER TREAT-
MENT PLANT.

WHEREAS, the City of Trinidad, Colorado, must expand its available

water supply to meet the needs of the City and its inhabitants;

WHEREAS, in order to expand the City's water supply, the capacity of

the City water filtration plant and appurtenant facilities must be expanded.

Said expansion may include modifications to the plant itself and creation

or modifications of diversion dams, inlet structures and control vaults;

and

IVHEREAS, the City has been granted energy impact assistance funds in

the amount of $350,000.00, but additional funds are required to complete

the necessary expansion.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Trinidad, Colorado, that:

1. The Hayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to apply to the

Colorado Water Conservation Board for a loan of funds in the amount of

$450,000.00, which funds are to be used for the expansion of the City water

filtration plant and appurtenant facilities.

2, No indebtedness shall be incurred on behalf of the City unless

and until there has been an Ordinance passed and adopted in accordance with

the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, 31-15-302, as amended.
