Box 609
Eagle, CO 81631

He: Maintenance of Water Project built under contract C-153313
with State of Colorado (Water Conservation Board)

Dear Mayor Seabry:

As you are aware the Town of Lagle Municipal Water project
was repaired and improved through a $250,000 loan made to you
under contract C-153313 dated October 1, 1979.

According to paragraph A4 of that contract the Town agreed
that "without expense to the State it would manage, operate.
and maintain the project system continuously in an efficient
and economic manner and (would) assume all legal liability for
such management operation, and maintenance". The State then
would make periodic visits to ensure that the proper
maintenance is carried out by the responsible entities.

In the last visit to your facilities made by our Mr.
Harvey, the following deficiencies were observed in your system:

(a) At the water tank and adjacent to the electrical pole there
is a problem with the valve pit because the top of the bell
housing has been vandalized and broken.

(b) The electrical box. sitting at the end of the electrical
pole, has the front cover plate missing and all the wires
are hanging and exposed to the outside.

We are concerned about the above deficiencies and we would like
to have the Town repair them at its earliest convenience.

Please let us know when the repairs would be made so they
could be inspected and approved by our staff.

Sincerely

IV . c" LIZ
N.
