Construct two or more shallow aquifer wells as needed in the
Lone Tree Creek Basin, north and east of Nunn.
2. Construct the following pipe system improvements:
a. 9100~ feet (depends on the location of wells determined
in final design) of 6" transmission line from the new wells
to tie into existing distribution system in the Town.
b. An additional 7510 feet of 6" distribution pipeline within
the Town.
c. Miscellaneous valves, hydrants, crosses, etc. associated
with pipelines.
3. Construct an additional 50,000 gallon elevated storage tank with
necessary piping, valves, etc.
4. Installation of an electrical system to automate pump operation
and to control the water level in the storage tanks.
The estimated cost of the above improvements including a contingency of
15% and 11% for engineering and construction inspection services is $313,400
(1977 costs).
The Town of Nunn has several options on financing the water system
improvements. One of the options would be that the Town of Nunn make appli-
cation for a $125,500.00, 25 year loan (3% interest) from the Colorado Water
Conservation Board. This would necessitate that the Town also apply for a
$186,900 grant from the Farmers Home Administration to pay for the remaining
cost of the improvements.

3
