Operations and Maintenance
Table V-2 presents the operating budget for the Town of Nunn for
the last three years for the operation of the water system. Included in
the table is the income from water users from the sale of water and system
connection charges and the operation and maintenance expenses including
debt payment on long term debts. For the past three years, the average
annual operating and maintenance costs attributable to the water system
excluding debt repayment costs is about $5,900 per year. Adding to this
the average annual debt repayment costs for the last three years, the
annual costs are about $8,200/year, This translates into an average
cost of $5.70 per water tap per month. The Town has two 10 year improvement
loans at the present time. A $16,000 loan at 6% was taken out in March
1974 and a $9,000, 6% loan was taken out in March 1976. These loans will
mature in 1984 and 1986, respectively, reducing the current annual expenses
by about $3,330/year,

29
