I
I
I
I
;1
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
:1
I
:1
II
I
I
I

the unmetered irrigation of the Town Park which uses considerable water
during the summer months, Based on typical values for other areas for
variations in monthly use, winter Lise rate is about 80% of the annual,
about 150 gpcd; and the summer use is about 130% of the annual rate, or
about 2+5 gpcd.
2. Future Demands
Table 111-2 also shows the future demands projected to the
year 2000 based on a population of 430 at that time. It was assumed that
the per capita consumption would remain the same as the present. However.
if water billing rates are increased, the per capita use rate would probably
decrease, which is what ususally happens when water costs more. The
average daily use would increase from a present day use of 56,500 gallons
per day (gpd) to 80,850 gpd in the year 2000. The predicted future demand
assumes a population trend as has been explained previously and very little
clange in the commercial and industrial sector. The anticipatEd water use
in the future will be mostly domestic or residential as it is ilt the present.

13
