Spring Creek is an <br />intermittent stream which flows through the western part of the presently <br />developed portion of the Town. A few miles east of Nunn is another <br />drainage basin, the Lone Tree Creek basin. The soil in the Nunn area is <br />generally a rich, sandy loam and is especially suited for farming. Most of <br />the area is farmed as dryland with wheat and barley as the prevalent crops. <br />However, there is some land in the area which is irrigated with groundwater <br />obtained from private wells. <br />The current population of Nunn is approximately 300 with approximately <br />120 families. The median family income for Nunn is $7800 based on the <br />study conducted by the Business Research Division at the University of <br />Colorado. Also, according to the same study, the median family income for <br />Weld County as a whole is $8310. <br /> <br />7 <br />
