I
I

SP I1LWA Y

I
I
I
I
I

In the 1975 report a hydrology analysis was completed for determin-
ation of the spillway size. The drainage basin above Reservoir No.
15 is relatively small resulting 1n the fact that a Maximum Probable
Storm runoff could be stored within 5 feet of freeboard above the
normal high waterline. The hydrology study as completed in 1975
included a routing through the existing 50 foot wide spillway re-
sulting 1n an surcharge depth of 3.7 feet for the Probable Maximum
Flood. This hydrology analysis is reproduced in its entirity in
Appendix "E" of this report.

I

It is anticipated that the existing spillway will be utilized with
some improvements to provide for a concrete overflow pan and cut-
off wall to specifically set the spillway configuration.

I
I

STRUCTURE PLANS

I

In the Engineering portion of this report, included in Appendix "F",
are incorporated preliminary sketchs of the existing and proposed
facilities as anticipated for this improvement project. These 1n-
clude plan and profile of the emankment and spillway, typical
cross-sections of the embankment, and a sketch of the proposed new
outlet works were it selected as the alternative.

I
I

DRAINAGE

I
I
I
I

Although seepage may result from this facility, the remoteness of
Reservoir No. 15 results in no apparent harm done from the seepage
below the dam. These flows enter Dry Creek and continue on through

rural areas.

SEDIMENTATION

I
I

Reservoir No. 15 has existed on this site Slnce 1909. It is es-
timated that in that time sedimentation has occured to the depth
of approximately 4 feet immediately in front of the inlet to the

14

^
