<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CHAPTER IV - WATER <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Reservoir No. IS is filled by diversion out of the North Fork of <br />the Cache La Poudre River. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Water Rights <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />North Poudre Reservoir No. IS has a filling decree to gage rod 42.2 <br />feet for 5,463 acre feet of storage with a priority date of April <br />9, 1909 and priority number being 102. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Tn addition, The North Poudre Irrigation Company has a refill decree <br />for 4,591 acre feet of this storage dated September 31, 1924 and <br />a conditional refill decree for the bal<Jnce of the Reservoir <br />capacity. Copies of these decrees are included in Appendix "C". <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Water Quality <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The water stored in Reservoir No. 15 is basically runoff from high <br />mountain diversions and is of excellent quality. Reservoir No. IS <br />is used extensively resulting in a continual turnover of water with- <br />in the Reservoir and no appreciable build up of salts. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />There are no major sources of pollution upstream of Reservoir No. IS <br />which would induce chemicals or impurities into this water. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Reservoir Operation <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Reservoir No. IS is filled by surface rights out of the North Pork <br />of the Cache La Poudre River, Park Creek, and Dry Creek. The <br />drainage basin above Reservoir No. IS is relatively small and most <br />inflows are diverted by means of lbe North Poudre Canal into the <br />Reservoir. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The location of Reservoir No. 15 1S such that 75% of The North <br />Poudre Irrigation Company system lies below the Reservoir.
