PHYSICAL ASSETS <br /> <br />The domestic water system for the Town of Hudson consists <br />primarily of shallow wells with pumping units, distribution system, <br />and treated water storage. These primary water supply facilities <br />are shown on the project map described in Chapter I and designated <br />Exhibit I-A. <br /> <br />1. WELLS <br /> <br />Water is taken by two wells which tap the alluvium containing <br />sand and gravel material. <br /> <br />Hell No. 1 (Northeast Hell): <br />Municipal well registration No. 11133 is located in the <br />Southeast One Quarter of Section 2, Township 1 North, <br />Range 65 West. This is located approximately one mile <br />northeast of the Town along Interstate 76. The well was <br />drilled to a depth of 62 feet in 1956. The well has an <br />lS-inch diameter casing. Capacity of this well is <br />estimated at 300 gallons per minute. Chlorination <br />facilities are installed in the well building. A 30 <br />horsepower pumpi ng un it provi des the power a t \~e 11 No.1. <br />This well is the main source of water to the Town of <br />Hudson. This well has serious pressure surging problems. <br /> <br />Well No.2 (East Well): <br />Municipal well registration No. 11132 is located in the <br />Northeast One Quarter of Section 11, Township 1 North, <br />Range 65 West. This is approximately one mile east of <br />the Town on Highway 52. The well was drilled to a depth <br />of 42 feet in 1947. The well has an lS-inch diameter <br />casing. Capacity of this well is estimated at 60 gallons <br />per minute. This well has severe limitations for use and <br />does not meet State Health Department minimum requirements. <br />Reference to Appendix C Sanitary Survey Report. <br /> <br />II - 2 <br />
