PROJECT ~.1AP <br /> <br />The project map is included in this Chapter as Exhibit I-A. It <br />shows the location of the basic existing and proposed project <br />improvements to the Town of Hudson water system. The approximate <br />water servi ce area for the TOI"/n can be seen on the project map. <br />The relationship of Hudson to other nearby communities is shown <br />on Exhibit I-B which is included within this Chapter. <br /> <br />B. LOCATION <br /> <br />The Town of Hudson is located in southern Weld County, Colorado, <br />near the intersection of Colorado Highway 52 and U.S. Interstate <br />Highway 76 (30). The ground elevation in the Town slopes generally <br />from 4,980 feet elevation at the northwest corner to 5,030 feet <br />elevation in the southeast corner of the Town. Hudson is located <br />approximately 25 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado, along <br />Interstate Highway 76. Its relationship to other communities <br />in the area can be seen on the location map designated Exhibit I-B. <br /> <br />C. CL H1ATE <br /> <br />Hudson is located in a semi-arid region of Colorado. It experiences <br />a climate typical of that of the Denver region except that is has <br />normally somewhat lesser amounts of precipitation and a slightly <br />higher temperature due to its location farther away from the front <br />range. It does not normally experience the amount of \"/ind currents <br />that exist closer to the mountain front range. <br /> <br />The United States Weather Bureau recorded the yearly wind velocity <br />and direction in the Denver-Brighton area during the period of <br />I - 1 <br />
