""''''". <br /> <br />October 4, 1986 <br /> <br />Proposal for: <br /> <br />Rio Grande Reservoir Rehabilitation - Phase 1 <br /> <br />Owner: San Luis Valley Irrigation District <br />Center, CO <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />On October 3, 1986 I viewed the project to be constructed at Rio Grande Res- <br />ervoir 30 miles west of Creede, Co. with Don Perkins representing the Dis- <br />trict. Since then I have talked extensively with Jim Passage of Harza <br />Engineering, Chicago, Illinois. Jim asked that I submit a proposal to <br />the District as soon as possible and mail one to him. <br /> <br />We hereby propose to construct the following work as partially described <br />in drawing No. C-899D furnished to me by Don Perkins along with another <br />drawing of headwall detail. <br /> <br />Item No. 1 - Trench Excavation: This includes excavation for triple 36" <br />R.C.P.. excavation to expose all of existing grate on face of dam. ex- <br />cavating for headwall and footer. This item also includes dewatering as <br />necessary. Unit Price $18.00 per cubic yard - Yardage unknown. <br /> <br />Item No.2 - Furnish. Del,iv,er, place and backfill 360 L.F. 36" R.C.P.. <br />Class 3 with rubber gaskets. Backfill material to consist of material <br />excavated from trench. Unit Price $119.00 per linear foot. <br /> <br />Item No.3 - Concrete headwall: Includes form material, all labor, Re- <br />inforcing steel, furnish and place concrete, heating if necessary, back- <br />fill, install gate valves. Lump sum $13,500.00 <br /> <br />Item No.4 - Timber walkway: Furnish and install material, all labor. <br />Lump sum $1,500.00 <br /> <br />Item No.5 - Embankment: Consists of excavating, load, haul, place, com~act, <br />shape in accordance with drawings. 2,500 - 3,500 cubic yards @ $9.50 yd . <br /> <br />Item No. 6 - Mobilization, demobilization, bond, insurance. Lump Sum <br />$20,000.00. <br /> <br />Note 1 - Due to the fast approaching winter conditions and location and <br />altitude of this project, we feel time is of essence.
