Resources Service, U. S. Depa.tment of the Interior, <br />which contract is styled Cooperative Agreement No. 0-07-70-X0152 <br />.(copy attached hereto); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Cooperative Agreement ~pecifies that the State shall <br />accomplish a study of the alternative means by which the State's share <br />of the waters of the South Platte River might be put to use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State does not have sufficient professional exper~ise <br />to complete said study in a timely manner; <br /> <br />WH!'REAS, the Contractor warrants.thatit i~ a professional engi- <br />neering firm which has the experience and. expertise required to complete <br />the study in a satisfactory manner; and <br />WHEREAS, 24-30-1401, et seq, eRS 1973, has ~een fully complied with; <br />NOW THEREFORE, it. is hereby aereed that: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor shall J in consideration of the conlpensation to be <br />paid to it pursuant to paragraph 2 below, 'complete the analyses and <br />products specified in Exhibit A, Scope of Services, which exhibit <br />is attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as if <br />the same had been fully set forth in the body of this contract. <br /> <br />2. In consideration of the services to be performed by the Contractor) <br />the State agrees to pay the Contractor ,he. fixed sum of Two Hundred <br />Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00).
