The water from all three fields is of excellent quality and, <br />barring unexpected emergencies, suitable for long term use. All fields consist of shallow sandy <br />aquifers which are vulnerable to swface contamination <br /> <br />The District would suffer a significant breakdown if anyone of the three sources of supply <br />were for any reason lost. It is the objective of this study to detennine the feasibility of <br />importing Carter Lake Water as an emergency supply that could replace water from any of the <br />existing supplies should future conditions so require. <br /> <br />2 <br />
