The Town has a service contract <br />with this property owner as part of the domestic water facility. <br /> <br />Tte valve house regulates the flow to the town. It has no <br />insulation and is not heated. In the winter, the lack of heat <br />has ref,ulted on occasions in line freeze-ups within the valve <br />house. At one time there was a HTH chlorination hook-up in the <br />valve llOuse. The lines froze up and the system was disconnected <br />and ne'Ter reinstalled. <br /> <br />T~e upper collection system requires considerable work to <br />insure the spring flows as well as a reasonable quality and <br />quantity of surface flow. New tree growth has occurred over the <br />spring, sapping most of the flow.
