General Scope of Services <br /> <br />The general scope of services shall consist of the furnishing <br />of consulting engineering services by R. W. Beck and Associates <br />(Consulting Engineer) to the City of Manitou Springs (City) for a study <br />of the City's existing water supply and distribution system and the <br />development of a plan of improvements and additions that are needed <br />to be made to the system for adequa.te and reliable service to the <br />customers served by the system. <br /> <br />I. B. Services to be Furnished by the Consulting Engineer <br /> <br />The services to be furnished by the Consulting Engineer shall <br />be as described below. <br /> <br />I. B. 1 - Feasibility Study and Report. - The Consulting <br />Engineer shall proceed immediately to prepare a feasibility study and <br />report on improvements and additions proposed to be made to the City's <br />water system including a water filtration facility and treated water <br />storage. In addition, the study of the City's water distribution system <br />may also dictate certain other improvements and betterments to the <br />system in order to provide adequate and reliable water service to the <br />customers served by the system. <br /> <br />As appropriate, the study and report will be made along the <br />lines as set forth in the March 18, 1974, draft of the "General Require- <br />ments for F.ea~ibility Reports - Applications for Financial Assistance <br />from Water 'Projects Construction Fund" as prepared by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />The study and report shall include the following areas of <br />investigation and review: <br /> <br />a. A review of the existing system, and adequacy thereof to <br />, serve, the City's current a.nd projected water consumption <br />requiremen ts. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />-1- <br />
