William McDonald <br />Director <br /> <br />TO: The Loveland Water Study File <br />FROM: aill Green <br /> <br />DATE: August I, 1988 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Study Status <br /> <br />Backqround <br /> <br />The City of Loveland and th~ CWCB are conducting a <br />three-phase analysis of the CitY's raw water supply system: <br /> <br />Phase 1 - An assessment of 8rought impacts on the City's <br />raw water supply system and a recommendation for a <br />drought-protection level for design of facilities. <br />Completed in August 1986. <br /> <br />Phase 11 - Development and evaluation of alternatives over <br />a 30-year planning horizon to provide raw water capacity <br />adequate for the 100-year drought event. Completed in <br />January 1988. <br /> <br />Phase III - Detailed feasibility study for one selected raw <br />storage alternative. postponed indefinitely. <br /> <br />StudY Status <br /> <br />The work on the study has been done under two contacts with <br />the City of Loveland. The first contract for the Phase I study <br />amounted to $18,552.50 and was paid out in October 1986. The <br />second con c Phases II and II of the study is in the <br />amount 0 8,402.50 To date, we have paid the City <br />$41.041. 0 on the cond contract. The contract completion <br />date was D r I, 1987. Thus. the contract will have to be <br />amended if work should someday resume on the study. <br /> <br />In discussing the contracts with Dick Leffler.
