To develop and evaluate several alternative plans for eliminating
the projected water supply deficit for the 100 year recurrence
interval under the "Design Condition" as defined below.

2. To recommend one of the alternatives for implementation.

3. To specify the type, size, location and implementation schedule,
as appropriate, of the additional raw water supply sources and/or
water storage facility(ies) that comprise the recommended
alternative.

Design Condition

The "Design Condition" is based on t/1e projected combination of demand and
water supply sources as outlined in fhase I for the year 2015 under
moderate (i.e., 3.5% annually) growt/1 and deficit that results at the
100-year recurrence interval. The "Oesign Condi tion" is defined in terms
of the following specific items:

1. Annual demand is 21,261 ac-f~, distributed throughout the year as
shown below:

Jan = 1063 July = 2977
Feb = 1063 Aug = 3189
Mar 1063 Sep = 1913
Apr = 1701 Oct 1276
May = 1913 Nov = 1063
Jun = 2977 Dec = 1063

2. The estimated population is 114,100:

3. City ownership of CBT and Vindy Gap units would be 13,455 and 40,
respectively.

1-2
