PHASE II - TASK 5: EVALUATION OF
ENVIRONllENTAL IMPACTS OF
SINGLB-ELEIlENT ALTERNATIVES

TASK DESCRIPTION:

Potentially critical environmental issues and/or
positive benefits will be evaluated using data
obtained from:

0 one-day field inspection of potential reservoir
sites;
0 federal, state, and local agencies; and
0 regional environmental information prepared by
others.

TASK OBJECTIVE:

To identify and describe potentially critical
environmental issues for each Plan Element.

METHODOLOGY:

1. A one-day fjeld inspection of potential reservoir
sites will be conducted to establish a basis for
the application of regional data to the sites.

2. CDM will conduct a series of telephone interviews
with agency personnel to identify regulatory and
environment~l concerns of potential importance to
the project Plan Elements. Contacts will
include, bot not necessarily be limited to, the
United States Fish and Vildlife Service (FVS)
Endangered Species Office, the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, the Soil Conservation Service, the
Colorado N8tural Heritage Inventory (CNHI), the
Colorado Division of Vildlife (CDOV), and Larimer
County government. Data bases maintained by FVS
