<br />I <br />II <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />,1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PHASE II - TASK 5: EVALUATION OF <br />ENVIRONllENTAL IMPACTS OF <br />SINGLB-ELEIlENT ALTERNATIVES <br /> <br />TASK DESCRIPTION: <br /> <br />Potentially critical environmental issues and/or <br />positive benefits will be evaluated using data <br />obtained from: <br /> <br />0 one-day field inspection of potential reservoir <br /> sites; <br />0 federal, state, and local agencies; and <br />0 regional environmental information prepared by <br /> others. <br /> <br />Potential <br />evaluated <br />issues: <br /> <br />project planning constraints will be <br />in this Task, with respect to the following <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />plant and animal species <br />threatened or endangered <br />such listing; <br /> <br />that are listed as <br />or are candidates for <br /> <br />o wildlife, including Game and Non-Game species; <br /> <br />o fisheries <br /> <br />TASK OBJECTIVE: <br /> <br />To identify and describe potentially critical <br />environmental issues for each Plan Element. <br /> <br />METHODOLOGY: <br /> <br />1. A one-day fjeld inspection of potential reservoir <br />sites will be conducted to establish a basis for <br />the application of regional data to the sites. <br /> <br />2. CDM will conduct a series of telephone interviews <br />with agency personnel to identify regulatory and <br />environment~l concerns of potential importance to <br />the project Plan Elements. Contacts will <br />include, bot not necessarily be limited to, the <br />United States Fish and Vildlife Service (FVS) <br />Endangered Species Office, the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, the Soil Conservation Service, the <br />Colorado N8tural Heritage Inventory (CNHI), the <br />Colorado Division of Vildlife (CDOV), and Larimer <br />County government.
